Congratulations to Queen Bisi and King Bilal, winners of this year’s Mr and Miss Nigeria UK! Founded in 2013, the Mr and Miss Nigeria UK beauty paegent was created to bring together those of Nigerian descent, both living in the UK and in the Motherland (Nigeria). Aimed primarily with the view of maintaining close relationships with Nigerian charities, the pageant also seeks to bring together unity, faith, peace and progress amongst young people in the diaspora.
With contestants not only responding to questions from the judging panel, they were also required to showcase their fashion sense and various talents. Some included dancing, whilst others included the ability to play a musical instrument.
The Event also provided a unique opportunity for both budding and established fashionistas, hair-sylists and make-up artists to collaborate and to build each other up in a positive manner. Amongst the featured fashion designers included up and coming designer, Gerrie Berry. We had previously interviewed Gerrie Berry for her stunning designs (if you missed this, click here) so it goes without saying that we were not surprised when we saw her simply outstanding and finished designs brought to life on stage! wouldn’t you agree?
